Concert date: 06.04.2025Concert time: 14:00Concert place: Hall "Loppi"City: LoppiAdditional information:In the west of Ukraine, in the Carpathians, lives the Hutsul ethnic group, an indigenous people with a rich song and dance tradition. To popularize the song and dance heritage of the Hutsuls, the Hutsul Song and Dance Ensemble "Hutsulia" was founded in 1939 in Stanislaviv (now Ivano-Frankivsk). This year, the group celebrates its 85th anniversary. The creative legacy of "Hutsulia" includes 12 thousand concerts in Ukraine and abroad. Now a quartet of soloists from this experienced performing group is coming to Finland...

In the Carpathians, female singing is especially popular in the spring, when nature awakens after winter and when mountain streams murmur brightly and powerfully, announcing the coming summer. So Hutsul soloists will bring a diverse spring concert, the repertoire of which includes folk songs, not only in traditional but also modern performance.

Finnish concerts consist of both Ukrainian folk songs and, in particular, the diverse song tradition of the Hutsuls themselves. There is also newer Ukrainian music. The concerts are distinguished by skillful, powerful four-voices singing, solos, trios and duets, and colorful professional use of the voice. Acapella singing - singing without accompaniment - most strongly reveals the power and sensitivity of songs and vocals. The artists' costumes are also not just stage costumes, but real works of folk art, striking in their splendor, delicate hand embroidery, and ornaments made of wood and metal. The concerts are bright and pleasing to both the ear and the eye!

The duration of the concert is 60 minutes
