"Brevis" vocal group from the city of Mukachevo, transcarpathian region, was formed in 2012 in a picturesque area of unique Ukrainian Carpathians, Middle-aged castles, and peculiar folk style. Brevis is an a cappella group consisting of seven young and talented boys and girls, which also combines in itself the sweetness of sound and harmonic singing, eclectic and refined taste in music, and high professionalism in stage performing.
There are hundreds of different works in the group's repertoire, most of which can only be heard by the Brevis vocal group.Thanks to the author's arrangements, the group was able to create their own concept of concert programs, which are characterized by deep content and director's thought. During the years of work, it was possible not only to combine different styles - from spiritual music to classical music, from authentic Ukrainian folk song to jazz, but also to create incredible and impressive stage marvels.
Not only the spectrum of the group's repertoire is impressive, but also the geography of concert performances and tours. "Brevis" touring not only in Ukraine, where they are essential participants of different festivals, television music programs and shows, but actively give concerts outside Ukraine. Among the last performances of the group abroad are such countries as Austria, Germany, Slovenia, France and Latvia.
"Brevis" is in a constant creative search. So, for their first tour in Finland, the group has prepared a new concert program called "The Carpathian Winter Story". The concert program is a musical trip to the Carpathians on the eve of Christmas, which includes songs performed in the Carpathians in winter, both in anticipation of Christmas and Christmas itself. "The Carpathian Winter Story" is an incredible musical act that is impressive from the first minute. Real Ukrainian color, ancient archaic melodies of carols and bounties that are intertwined with modern harmony. The beauty of Ukrainian polyphony, combined with sound and visual effects, make this program truly special and unforgettable.
