Vocal female group “Nota Neo” was set up in 2000 in Lutsk, Volyn region – a Ukrainian region that is especially rich in folk authentic singing traditions. That is where the biggest amount of Ukrainian folk songs was collected and preserved.
“Nota Neo” group consists of four talented professional singers who perform in folk-pop genre, joining together authentic songs and melodies and modern music styles, that not only gives new energy to a song but also generates great excitement throughout the concert. Thus, the group repertoire will astonish the audience: Ukrainian old songs in authentic, modern, classical, and even jazz interpretation.
“Nota Neo” has a lot of tours not only in Ukraine, but also abroad. Recently the group has visited Poland, Germany and Lithuania with the concerts. The band members take part in a wide range of music projects and shows on Ukrainian TV. In 2005 the band became a finalist of national selection for the Eurovision-2005.
In November 2024, in anticipation of Christmas holidays the group is going to visit Finland with a tour for the first time. And it is not a coincidence, as Finland is not only known to be a homeland of a famous Joulupukki, but is also the country with firm and old Christmas traditions. That is why a true spirit of Ukrainian carols interlaced with modern harmonies would be a great surprise and a real Christmas present for Finn audience. And the girls from “Nota Neo” guarantee a fantastic Christmas-holiday mood and an incredible energy splash.
